Shawerma bread



We have learned before how to prepare shaerma, today we are going to prepare the special and tasty bread for shawerma,,,it is so easy to prepare it at home.

 


 


 

Ingredients:

5dl white flour

1dl vegetable oil

2 dl warm water (40˚ C)

1 teaspoon active dry yeast

1teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

 

Preparation:

Mix the flour and other dry ingredients in food processor bowl.  Run until fully blended, about 1 minute.

Add the vegetable oil and water through the feed tube while the machine is spinning, 20-30 seconds. Let it be worked in the food processor until it is pretty well mixed. It is important to check the texture of the dough. If the dough is too loose, add a little more flour. And if the dough is too stiff add a little more water.





Cover the bowl with a damp towel and let it rest for 1 hour, let dough rise to double the size. Remove the dough from the bowl and place it on a clean bench. Divide the dough into ten balls.




Bring a large and deep pan, put it on the stove as it shown in the following photo.

 


Switch on and roll out each ball into 0.5 cm thick in rounded shape. When the pan is warm enough you can begin baking as the photo shows.





Bake every side for few seconds so it will take golden color for both sides.


You can now fill shawerma in this yummy bread

I like to eat this bread with many other dishes like falafel, kabab, sheesh tawook and msakhan.

 All these dishes we are going to learn how to prepare them together in the next few days.
